Florida Dental Board CE Requirements for Dentists
Dentists licensed in Florida must complete the following CE requirements for license renewal:
- 28 hours of general dental CE during each 2-year license renewal period
- 2 hour Medical Errors course during every 2-year renewal period
- 2 hour Domestic Violence course during every third renewal period
- 1 hour Human Trafficking course (once during lifetime of licensure)
- 2 hour Controlled Substance Prescribing course during each 2-year renewal period for all dentists registered with the DEA and authorized to prescribe controlled substances
- 2 hour HIV/AIDS course (one time at initial renewal period)
- All hours may be obtained through online home study from an AGD-PACE Approved Provider
Dental Hygiene CE Requirements in Florida
Registered Dental Hygienists licensed in Florida must complete the following CE requirements for license renewal:
- 22 hours of general dental CE during each 2-year license renewal period
- 2 hour Medical Errors course during every 2-year renewal period
- 2 hour Domestic Violence course during every third renewal period
- 1 hour Human Trafficking course (once during lifetime of licensure)
- 2 hour HIV/AIDS course (one time at initial renewal period
